Belagavi, Dec 14 (UNI) The Karnataka government has decided to give relief in the dress code to select women police persons after it had ordered that they should wear khaki trousers and shirts.
Now the Home Department would allow those police women and officers above 40 years to wear khaki sarees or salwar kameez.
Replying to a question by Tejaswini Gowda (BJP) during question hour, Home Minister G Parameshwara, said the relief would soon be given in view of discomfort to some older women police personnel.
