Karnataka: Covid cases in medical college of Dharwad reach 306

Dharwad, Nov 28 (UNI) The total number of Covid-19 positive cases on SDM College and Medical Sciences have risen to 306 as the district authorities completed the test on all students and staff.
Out of the 2217 people whose swab samples were collected yesterday and today, 25 were found positive, Dharwad Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil said, adding that the infection is limited to students, doctors and staff members of SDM campus.
He said only six people have tested symptomatic and the rest were asymptomatic.
The district administration, health and family welfare department, police and SDM governing council will continue to work hard, Patil further said.
The number of people who tested positive on Saturday stood at 281. All infected persons have been isolated and quarantined for treatment, he added.
As per government orders, the hospital's out-patient services have been suspended until further notice. Emergency services will continue to be provided, he said.
