JU to come up with centre for Manuscriptology Preservation, says VC

Jammu, Dec 26 (UNI) Stressing upon that ancient texts are a repertoire of infinite wisdom and knowledge that is also scientific and technical and can propel the progress of the country at a tremendous pace, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof M K Dhar on Wednesday advocated for centre for Manuscriptology Preservation in the campus.
Speaking at Inaugural function of seven days national workshop on Indian scripts being organised by the P G Department Of Sanskrit in Collaboration with Millennium India Education Foundation, New Delhi here, Prof Dhar, commented on the unique positioning of the University in the Context of languages that the region espouses.
Appreciating the efforts of the department in organizing various academic activities and keeping the department vibrant, the Vice Chancellor suggested that the department can plan to conduct a diploma course on Sharada Script.
