JK : NC's Ruhullah files nomination from Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 25 (UNI) Influential Shia leader and National Conference candidate Aga Ruhullah on Thursday filed nomination papers from the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat.

Ruhullah accompanied by NC President Farooq Abdullah, Vice President Omar Abdullah, and Jammu and Kashmir Congress President Vikar Rasool, arrived at the office of Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, who is the returning officer for the constituency, to file his papers.

Talking to reporters after filing the nominations, the NC candidate said through the elections he would speak on the decisions made on August 5, 2019, to ensure that the entire country understands through Parliament that those decisions were not accepted by the people of J&K.

He said people were not able to express their sentiments on such issues in the last four years and now elections have allowed them to express themselves.

Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency is going to polls in the fourth phase on May 13.

Speaking to reporters Omar alleged that the Central Government, Raj Bhawan, BJP, and its proxies are fighting the elections against National Conference.

“It is now clear that all the forces are fighting elections against NC. A few days back BJP announced its support openly to Mehbooba Mufti. Not one, but two leaders of BJP announced the support to Mehbooba in Rajouri and Poonch, which clearly shows that from BJP, it’s A, B & C teams, Central Government to Raj Bhawan everyone is fighting elections against NC,” Omar said adding NC will win all the seats.
Omar said the candle of NC cannot be extinguished.
J&K Congress President Vikar said the INDIA Alliance will win all six seats in J&K and their fight is against the people who destroyed J&K.
“NC supported us in Jammu and Congress party with full force will now support National Conference in Kashmir,” he said.

Meanwhile, Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) candidate for Srinagar Amir Bhat filed his nomination papers from the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters after the filing of the nomination papers,Bhat said traditional parties NC, Congress and PDP have deceived the people.
“DPAP promises to provide employment, and development,” he said.
Nineteen candidates have submitted their nominations from the Srinagar constituency.
