Srinagar, April 17 (UNI) Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Chairman Gulam Nabi Azad will not contest the Lok Sabha election from Anantnag-Rajouri seat.
The surprise announcement came almost a fortnight after Azad was named the party candidate from the Anantnag-Rajouri seat.
"Azad sahib had some reservations and now Mohammad Saleem Parray has been named as the candidate for the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat," a senior party leader said.
The former Chief Minister has been leading the party campaign in Jammu and Kashmir.
