Jammu Police nabs accused fleeing in murder case in few hours

Jammu, Nov 28 (UNI) Jammu Police on Saturday evening arrested the accused person absconding in murder case in few hours after the crime incident was reported in the heart of city here.
Police spokesman said that it was reliably learnt that one Shabir Ahmed, 42, resident of Ustaad Mohalla, Jammu, was "assaulted" by one Gurpreet Singh of Nanak Nagar with a sharp-edged weapon at Rehari Puli in the evening hours.
While the injured was taken to the hospital for treatment, the victim succumbed to injuries later and the accused was on run, he said, adding that a case was registered as soon as the information was received and investigation started.
