Jalandhar RTA promises same day delivery of learning licenses

Jalandhar, May 31 (UNI) In a major citizen centric initiative aimed at facilitating the people of state, from tomorrow, the Punjab government would deliver the driving licenses to the applicants on the same day, it was applied.
Mr. Barjinder Singh, secretary Regional Transport Authority on Sunday said from tomorrow, the transport department would be resuming number of services for the people. He said from now onwards Learning Driving licenses, Permanent driving licenses, renewal of licenses and duplicate driving licenses would be issued on the same date when they would be applied for.
Mr. Barjinder Singh said in the first phase 30 slots of learning licenses would be issued to the applicants 15 minutes after they apply for it on the same day at the Driving track provided all the documents of the applicants were complete.
