Jail infra being improved, skill development augmentation on cards for rehab of prisoners: J&K DGP

Jammu, Dec 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Sunday said that jail infrastructure is being improved across the state besides enhancement of augmentation of skill development programmes for the rehabilitation of prisoners.
“We also have to focus on the rehabilitation of prisoners for which skill development and manufacturing sections in the jails shall be further augmented in the state,” the State Police Chief, who also holds the charge of DG Prisons said while addressing Passing out parade of 2nd batch of Jail warders was held at Institute of correctional Services Mishriwala here on city outskirts.
He also said that Bhaderwah jail will be ready shortly for commissioning. Two more jails one each at Kargil and Ramban are being established.
