In case of yellow rust on wheat crops, spray fungicides: Warn agriculture scientists

Hamirpur (HP), Feb 13 (UNI) The Agriculture scientists of the Department of Earth science have warned the farmers to spray fungicides if they find symptoms of yellow rust appearing in the wheat crop leaves.
In a message to the farmers, it has stated that since there is no rainfall expected in the region, maximum temperature 23-24 degrees C and minimum temperature 7-8 degrees C is expected during the next five days. Relative humidity will remain between 18-47 per cent. The average wind speed in the next five days will remain 6 km/h. Light clouds expected.
Regarding mustard, it said that Aphid is expected in mustard crops. In the early stage cut and destroy the infested part of the plant, if insect population above ETL then spraying of Rogar or Quinalphos @ 2.0 ml/liter water is recommended.
