IAS letter draws comment from Minister

Indore, MP, Oct 19 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Public Works Minister Sajjan Singh Verma underlined on Saturday that senior bureaucrats ought to comprehend their responsibilities towards the public.
The remark came in response to press queries regarding Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officers’ Association President Gauri Singh’s recent communication to the Chief Secretary.

“Our dispensation and I have nothing whatsoever to do with the letter. The masses do not know of the story behind it – a duel between the IAS and the Indian Police Service. Such strife causes loss to the populace,” the politician averred.

In the context of recent Lokayukta action against Assistant Commissioner (Excise) A Khare – posted in Indore – the Minister said that the government is committed to checking corrupt functionaries.
