Hyundai Motor April sales rise 3.6 pc

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Leading automotive manufacturer Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) today posted a rise of 3.6 per cent in its total sales at 56,368 units in April, 2017 against 54,420 in the same month previous fiscal. Commenting on the sales Rakesh Srivastava, Director, Sales and Marketing, HMIL said, "Hyundai with volume of 44,758 units continued its growth momentum on a strong base of last year driven by tremendous response for the All New Global Stylish Family Sedan Xcent and continued strong performance of volume driving aspirational brands Grand i10, Elite i20 and Creta." The domestic sales were up by 5.78 per cent at 44,758 units during the month as compared to 42,351 units in the year ago period, the HMIL said in a statement. However, the exports saw a dip of 3.8 per cent to 11,610 vehicles against 12,069 vehicles over the corresponding month last year. Hyundai Motor India currently has ten car models across segments – Eon, Grand i10, Elite i20, i20 Active, Xcent, Verna, Creta, Elantra, Tucson and Santa Fe. Presently, the company exports to nearly 87 nations across Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific. UNI ASH SHK 1550
