HP: 160 ml water supply & sewerage program on the anvil with World Bank

Shimla, Sep 20(UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government is currently in final stages negotiation with the World Bank to provide assistance of 160 million US dollar to the Himachal Pradesh Water Supply and Sewerage Service Delivery Program, officials said here on Monday.
State Principal Secretary Urban Development Mr Rajneesh said that negotiation was held on Monday for seeking financial assistance of US dollar -160 million (Rs 1168 Cr) from World Bank with the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) for HPWS&SdP in which an official of the Ministry of Finance was also present.
He said that this is the final negotiation between the World Bank and DEA. State Council of Ministers on August 24, 2021 approved the negotiation package for the program.
