Himachal Govt committed to help people: Speaker

Dharamshala, April 5 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar on Sunday reviewed the steps taken to distribute ration to the migrant labourers and needy people in the Palampur sub-division and urged the people to remain secure and safe along with their families by staying at home.
Parmar while thanking the administration, police, health and other departments involved in the relief work and the media in dissemination of information, said that every possible step was being taken in the state to provide relief to the people and to ease their woes in this period of crisis.
He said that for the next three months an enhancement has been made in the old age pension under social security scheme. Augmentation has been announced in the Kisan Samman Yojna. He reassured that sufficient food was available in the state under the Public Distribution System.
