Higher education minister thanks teachers, students after completing 150-days as minister

Bengaluru, Nov 18 (UNI) Higher Education Minister G T Devegowda today said he was deeply indebted to the teaching as well as student community for enabling him to get an insight into the challenges being faced in the field of Higher Education and attempt to solve them.
In a statement issued here on Sunday he said he had good experience though with minimum experience in this sphere, only because of such superior quality inputs borne out of vast knowledge and deep experience of eminent professionals he could take an informed decisions. 'The guidance that I received from the educationists and other professionals have given me the strength to face any challenge of any dimension,' he said.
Mr Gowda was a reluctant to accept the portfolio as he was not highly educated, but bowed to the dikets of JD(S) president H D Devegowda and Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy when JD(S) and Congress formed the coalition government early this year.
