Hearing on application for re-hearing of the Jheerum case completed in High Court

Bilaspur, Jan 20 (UNI) Chhattisgarh High Court on Monday completed hearing on an application of state government to re-hear the case of Jheerum Valley Naxal incident and record statements of some more witnesses in the case.
The division bench of Chief Justice Ramachandra Menon and Justice PP Sahu heard the application of the state government to take the testimony of some witnesses in the case and resume the hearing. The bench completed the hearing in the case, but has reserved its judgment.
The state government had earlier taken up this case before the court of Justice Koshi, which was dismissed after hearing by the bench. Subsequently state government appealed before the division bench.
