Ambala, Jul 11 (UNI) Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil VIJ said that the state government may seal the Delhi border in view of the increasing number of coronavirus patients.
Interacting with the media persons at his residence here on Saturday, he said that most of the new cases were noticed from the districts bordering the Delhi state.
He said that 80 per cent new corona cases were coming from Delhi. Most of these cases were from the districts adjoining with Delhi and people either make up and down to Delhi or others have to go there in connection with their business.
People from both categories, he pointed out, got infected at Delhi and spread infection after they come in contact with others in Haryana.
Vij said that the recovery rate in Haryana was better than other
states. Under these circumstances, the state health department always tried to give treatment to such patients and send them back to their native places. The state government had to incur the expenses for treatment of such patients, he added.
He, however, said if the situation went out of control because of unusual entry of infected persons from Delhi, the state government would not hesitate to seal the border with Delhi again to contain the spread of Covid-19.
