Haryana ACB arrests Panchayati Raj Department clerk for taking bribe

Chandigarh, April 16 (UNI) Rohtak team of the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested Nisha, a clerk in the Panchayati Raj Department of District Sonipat, red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 39 thousand.

The spokesperson of ACB said on Tuesday that, on the basis of information, the team of ACB laid a trap to catch the accused. Accused Nisha demanded a bribe of Rs 39,000 from the contractor in return for passing the outstanding bill of Rs 11 lakh, for which the ACB team arrested her red-handed. This entire action was taken with complete transparency in front of the witnesses.
