Harassment of traders is intolerable: KTMF threatens reciprocation

Srinagar, Nov 10 (UNI) Expressing serious concern over the alleged harassment of traders by Sales Tax department (Comercial Tax Department) the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) President Haji Mohammed Yasin Khan on Saturday said the “official hooliganism is intolerable.”
In a statement here this afternoon Mr Khan, who also heads Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) alleged that instead of feeling ashamed for having failed to do anything good for the traders, the government is resorting to tactics, which seem to sabotage revival of struggling trade in Kashmir.
He said,The Commercial Tax Department decision to unduly harass the traders was intolerable ,the harassment was so terrible that traders have started taking the Tax department officials as goons who inspect markets with intention of rioting.
