Varanasi, August 16 (UNI) Hearing on a plea seeking daily worship at Shivling-like structure found inside Gyanvapi mosque was held in the fast track court on Tuesday.
After hearing the submissions of both the sides - Hindu and Muslims, Civil Judge (Senior Division) Mahendra Kumar Pandey fixed September 5 as the next date of hearing.
The Hindu side has sought permission for daily worship of Shivling-like structure found in the wazukhana of Gyanvapi mosque.
Mumtaz Hussain, representing Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee, moved an application at the court claiming that the case is barred by Rule 7 Order 11 or Code of Civil Procedure that is the plea is not maintainable in the court.
Anupam Dwivedi, the counsel of the Hindu side, said that lead counsel Shivam Gaur along with Maan Bahadur will argue on the maintainability of the plaint on September 5.
