Govt mulling to set up textile unit in Jind: CM

Chandigarh, Oct 21 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Sunday said that since almost all types of farming is done in Jind district, the possibility of setting up a textile unit and organic food park would be explored.
With the setting up of industries, Jind district would rank among the leading districts of Haryana providing employment and self-employment resources to thousands of people.
Addressing a public rally organized in Jind today, the Chief Minister also conceded the long pending demand of the people of Jind city by announcing the decision to provide canal-based drinking water and Rs 300 crore for various development projects.
