GOC-in-Chief NC visits Indo-China border, meets troops

Srinagar, Dec 15 (UNI) General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command (GOC-NC) Lt General Ranbir Singh on Saturday visited Indo-China border in Ladakh region, where he was given a detailed briefing about the operational situation in the sector, a defence ministry spokesman said here on Saturday evening.
Lt Gen Singh, accompanied by GOC, Fire & Fury Corps and GOC, Trishul Division, visited the historic and strategic Karakoram Pass along the Indo-China border in Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) sector of Eastern Ladakh on Saturday.
At Karakoram Pass, Lt Gen Singh also met and interacted with an Indian Army Patrol. He complimented the troops for undertaking such an arduous task in extreme rough terrain and adverse weather conditions, in the interest of national security. He urged them to continue to uphold the highest standards of commitment and dedication to duty which Indian Army symbolises.
