Four children drown in pond in Kanpur

Kanpur, Apr 29 (UNI) Four children drowned while taking bath in a newly-constructed pond in Narwal area of Kanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, police sources said here.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while expressing grief over loss of lives in the incident has directed to distribute a relief amount of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased.
Police sources said that an Amrit Sarovar was constructed in Narwal Tehsil last month. "On Saturday afternoon after school four children Saksham (15), Abhay (13), Divyansh (10) and Krishna (12) went to take bath in the pond," they said.
