Ex-minister back in Cong

Shivpuri, MP, Apr 20 (UNI) Erstwhile Madhya Pradesh minister Chaudhary Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi returned to the Congress fold here on Saturday in the presence of party General Secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia who is trying his political fortune from Guna – a constituency he has represented since 2002 without interval in the House of the People.
Mr Chaturvedi hails from Bhind District and was a member of the Digvijaya Singh Council. About half-a-decade back, when the Assembly’s then Leader of the Opposition Ajay Singh brought in a no-confidence motion against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government, Congress legislator Chaturvedi suddenly protested against the move within the House, leaving party MLAs dumbstruck. In the wake of that dramatic sequence, Mr Chaturvedi changed loyalties to the saffron camp.
