DIG, SP telling lies about attack on Naidu's house at Undavalli : TDP

DIG, SP telling lies about attack on Naidu's house at Undavalli : TDP

Vijayawada, Sep 21 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party Politburo Member Varla Ramaiah on Tuesday demanded that DIG Trivikrama Varma take back his statement that YSRCP Pedana MLA Jogi Ramesh did not make any attack on former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's residence at Undavalli.
Mr. Ramaiah urged the Government to file an attempt to murder case against Mr Jogi Ramesh and also a rowdy sheet should be opened against him for his unlawful behaviour.
The senior police officers should check facts before giving a clean chit to the YSRCP goondas.
Jogi Ramesh came along with a mob of goondas in over 20 cars for which there was video footage available. It was laughable on the part of the DIG to say that Jogi Ramesh came to Naidu house only to discuss some issues with him.
Addressing a press conference here, the Senior TDP leader said that the police image had touched the lowest point after Mr. Goutham Sawang took over as the DGP of Andhra Pradesh.
The press conference of DIG Trivikrama Varma, Guntur SP Rural and Urban on Monday was nothing but a farce and a laughing stock. They were telling all lies and they claimed as if they had no information about the attack on Mr. Naidu's house.
Even the senior IPS officers were not speaking like those wearing khaki uniforms, but they were behaving like puppets in the hands of the YSRCP leaders.
Mr. Ramaiah pointed out that the night before the attack on the TDP Chief's house, social media witnessed heated debates on Jogi Ramesh's threat to launch the attack.
The next day, the YSRCP MLA along with his goonda gangs addressed a press conference at Ibrahimpatnam and then started heading towards Mr. Naidu's house. But, the senior IPS officers were claiming that they had no information about all this.
The local police came to the spot only 40 minutes after Jogi Ramesh and his gang reached the spot. What was the police special branch and intelligence force doing all this time?
The TDP leader asked DIG Varma to explain why Jogi Ramesh came accompanied by goondas armed with sticks and rocks when the MLA wanted to have just a discussion with the TDP chief.
In a very shameful manner, the police officials were defending the unruly MLA of the ruling party. Though they resorted to an attempt to murder, the police filed a simple case. Whereas non-bailable cases were filed against the TDP leaders, who were the actual victims and who suffered injuries in the YSRCP attack. Even the media persons were injured in the stone attack, he said.
Mr. Ramaiah demanded a thorough investigation into the police officers who were responsible for allowing Jogi Ramesh convoy upto to the BB-1 gate at the house of the Leader of the Opposition.
Stringent action should be taken against these officials. The police were forgetting the fact that Mr. Chandrababu Naidu was a Z plus protectee of the National Security Guards (NSG).
It was unpardonable on the part of the AP Police to undermine the security and safety of a leader who had served as Chief Minister for 14 years and who had a long political career stretching for more than four decades.
