Create a mass movement against the TB disease DC said on 'World TB Day'

Dharamshala, Mar 24 (UNI) District Collector Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal has called upon the people to create a mass movement against Tuberculosis (TB) in the district. He also emphasized on multi-sectoral partnership in fulfilling the resolve to eradicate TB.
He was presiding over the meeting organized under the banner of District Tuberculosis Eradication Committee on 'World Tuberculosis Day' on Friday at Dharàmshala. During 'World TB Day' for multi-sectoral participation a discussion was organized for better coordination between different departments for TB eradication with the help of National Tuberculosis Eradication Program and Union Organization. All the stakeholders and concerned departments gave their suggestions in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner said that work is being done with the resolve to make India TB-free by the year 2025. Kangra district is ready to play its role in this direction. The district administration is making continuous efforts to achieve this goal. He said that emphasis has been laid on strengthening of diagnostic facility in the district with considerable increase in diagnostic capacity for TB. There are 47 active TB diagnostic centers in the district.
