CPI(M) alleges scam in HP Vidhan Sabha Secretariat recruitment

(Rptg, correcting headline)

Shimla, Jul 16 (UNI) Communist Party of India (CPI-M) MLA Rakesh Singha on Thursday alleged that six people were recruited in Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Secretariat under a recruitment scam during Rajiv Bindal as speaker of State Assembly in 2019.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Singha urged BJP-led Jai Ram Government to institute a free and fair judicial probe into the alleged scam.

Disclosing major anomalies in the recruitment process occurred on Oct 23, 2019, Mr Singha said that six post were filled without following prescribed rule and regulations in the state assembly.

Challenging the high moral ground of Mr Bindal who quit the top post in a PPE kit scam, Mr Singha said that Jai Ram Government should hand over both the probe to a judicial inquiry.

Mr Singha alleged that Mr Bindal on Oct 24, 2019 constituted a three-member selection committee for the personal interview of post of Law Officer in the state assembly which allegedly conducted interview on Nov 6 2019.

He said that the committee led by Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Secretary Mr Yash Paul Sharma ,Dr Vijay Kumar Sharma, Joint Controller ( Finance and account ) and Mr N L Sen Adl Director (Prosecution ) of Govt of Himachal as expert members.

He said that it appeared from the joining of selection committee by its members that signature of Chairman seemed to be impersonated as signature of secretary Vidhan Sabha also signed same official order are not matching with his original signature.
