COVID-19: Kerala reports six fatalities, 1,212 new cases

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 12 (UNI) Kerala reported 6 deaths due to COVID-19 on Wednesday whereas 1,212 people tested positive to the virus newly, 880 patients have recovered from the disease and 13,045 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the State, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said this evening.
Addressing a press conference here, the CM said "Currently 1,51,752 people are under observation in the state -- 1,39,326 are in home or institutional quarantine and 12,426 in hospitals. 1,380 people were admitted to the hospital today."
He also confirmed 6 COVID deaths, Shamsudeen (53) and Adam Kunji (65) in Kasaragod district, Kanakaraj (50) in Thiruvananthapuram district, Mariamkutty (77) in Ernakulam district, Ajithan (55) in Idukki district, T K Vasappan (89) in Kottayam district.
