Corruption in paddy procurement & lifting would not be tolerated: Bharat Bhushan Ashu

Chandigarh, Oct 20 (UNI) Punjab Food Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu said on Wednesday that corrupt practices in the ongoing paddy procurement and lifting would not be tolerated and those found indulging in such malpractices will not be spared.
Referring to the arrest of Punjab State Warehouse Corporation’s Inspector Munish Kumar, who was caught red handed by the Vigilance Bureau on a complaint by a Patiala resident John Gupta, the Minister said that strict action would be initiated against Kumar and any other officer/official found indulging in corrupt practices during procurement and lifting of paddy.
He directed all the officers/officials to ensure compliance of stipulated milling norms. He said that there should be no complaint of any inconvenience being caused to the farmers and arthiyas by anyone.

MSDE launches pilot projects to revive, promote Kashmir's traditional Namda Craft

Srinagar, Nov 27 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Electronics and Information Technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, on Saturday launched two ambitious projects; ‘Revival of Namda craft of Kashmir as a special pilot project under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 3.0’ and ‘Upskilling of artisans and weavers of Kashmir under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), component of PMKVY.'
While launching the initiative, Chandrasekhar said India has a rich heritage and is home to several traditional art forms.
