Constitution is supreme law of land: Expert

Margao, Goa, Jan 19 (UNI) Asserting that the Constitution is the Supreme law of the land from which other laws flow, Assistant Professor and Head Of the Department of G R Kare College of Law Maria Gorretti Simoes highlighted the various fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution of India.
Addressing a gathering at the Constitution Week Celebrations held at Salcete Taluka, at Collectorate, here on Friday Ms Simoes underlined the significance of the Constitution explaining the various rights bestowed upon every individual which the citizens of India should be aware of.
Ms Simoes, the resource person, spoke on the topic “Constitution made simple for the Common Man” which was attended by Government officials, Sarpanchas, Panchayat Members of Village Panchayats of Salcete taluka, members of NGO’s and school children.
