Lucknow, Jan 20 (UNI) Congress poster girl Dr Priyanka Maurya, who has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has termed the party's 'Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon' campaign as a farce and claimed that it's an only attempt to gain support of the women in the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
Talking to the UNI, Dr Priyanka said, "They only used my name and face as I have more than 10 lakh followers on social media, I am a woman and enjoy good support in my community. Congress must introspect how much respect they are giving to women. 'Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon' campaign is farce."
Priyanka said that she had been preparing to contest from the Sarojininagar seat in Lucknow since long. "But the party gave a ticket to a candidate which parachuted in just a month ago, who has no experience in Congress, but has money and influence," she said.
