Congress could replicate Assam strategy in UP polls

Lucknow Apr 11 (UNI) Confident of its success in Assam assembly elections, the Congress Party is all set to replicate its Assam poll campaign experiment in Uttar Pradesh poll, due early 2022.
Congress sources said here on Sunday that party high command has received positive feedback on the performance by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and his team in Assam elections. Baghel is likely to get a similar responsibility in UP as well and the announcement is likely to be made soon.
"The next stop for the Team Chhattisgarh will be Uttar Pradesh if things go as per plan," a senior party leader said.
