CM orders STF probe into sudden power cut in several cities of UP

Lucknow, Aug 13 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered for a high level probe by the Special Task Force (STF) over the conspiracy of sudden 'blackout' in thousands of homes on the eve of Janmashtami.
On Wednesday evening, when people were busy celebrating Janmashtami, power went off in thousands of homes in several cities, including Lucknow, as the smart meters started displaying 'disconnection due to non-payment of monthly arrears'.
The CM ordered the STF probe on Thursday after State Energy Minister Srikant Sharma recommended for the same apprehending a big conspiracy behind the incident to defame the BJP government .

Ambala, Sep 18 (UNI) With two deaths of coronavirus positive patients, the total death tally has reached to 69 in Ambala district today. Both the deceased belonged to Ambala and Ambala Cantt. 40 years old patient was resident of Patel road Ambala City. He was suffering from kidney trouble with hypertension and blood pressure. The other patient of Ambala Cantt was resident of Mahshnagar. He was a cancer patient and died after admitted to the Covid-19 Care Centre today.

MP’s ryots get Rs 4,686 cr under PMFBY

Bhopal, Sep 18 (UNI) In a boon for Madhya Pradesh’s cultivators, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday electronically transferred Rs 4,686 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to 22 lakh peasants during a programme conducted in the ancient temple town Ujjain, it was officially learnt.
“It is an unalloyed truth that my dispensation is farmer-friendly and the pivotal focus is on the agrarian sphere. Irrespective of circumstances, the government stands alongside our tiller brethren,” the senior politician assured.

nCoV: 3842 fresh patients detected in Chhattisgarh, 17 deaths

Raipur, Sep 18 (UNI) As many as 3842 fresh COVID-19 (Coronavirus) positive patients have been found in Chhattisgarh during the last 24 hours, talking the tally to 81617 although 2614 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery on Friday. Seventeen patients who were infected with Coronavirus have died.
