Charge sheet against Gayatri Prajapati for lodging fake cases against UP IPS officer, wife

Lucknow, Jul 23 (UNI) Lucknow police is likely to submit charge sheet against former Uttar Pradesh minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati in the case registered by activist Dr Nutan Thakur at Gomtinagar police station in connection with her along with her husband IPS officer Amitabh Thakur's implication in various criminal cases. Official said here today that the period of 90 days after Prajapati’s arrest would be over tomorrow and hence, police will submit the charge sheet before the deadline expires. In the case registered in June 2015, ex Chairperson State Woman Commission Zarina Usmani and its member Ashok Pandey along with five others are also accused, other than Prajapati. The police had filed final report in this case in July 2015 but after the order of CJM Lucknow in Nutan’s protest application, the case was reinvestigated. The then SSP Lucknow Manzil Saini had transferred this case to Crime Branch in March 2017 which presented Prajapati before Judicial custody in April 2017.
