Calicut International Airport is a tabletop airport: Muraleedharan

Thiruvananthapuram/Kozhikode, Aug 8 (UNI) Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on Saturday said that the Calicut International Airport located in Karipur is a tabletop airport and more information was awaiting from authorities in this regard.
In a tweet, the Minister said "This is a tabletop airport. Efforts are on from GoI & @MoCA_GoI & AAI. Awaiting more information on this from authorities."
According to sources close to the airport officials, "the airport was marked as a high risk Airport by the DGCA for its geographical location on the top of a hill. It was also identified as one of the 11 risky airports for airline operations in the country."
