Brave sons of Himachal made invaluable contributions in freedom struggle: Parmar

Dharamsala, Aug 15 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar hoisted the National flag at the district level function organized on the occasion of Independence Day at the Deputy Commissioner's office premises in Dharamsala and also took the salute of the march past. Earlier, tributes were also paid to the martyrs at the martyr memorial.
After this, in the auditorium of B Ed College, Dharamsala, Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar said that Independence Day is a symbol of self-respect, sacrifice, dedication and determination, which has been achieved after many struggles and sacrifices.
He said that the sacrifice, dedication, patriotism and sacrifice of the brave freedom fighters of the country will continue to inspire us to keep the unity and integrity of the country intact. Virbhoomi Himachal Pradesh has also played an important role in the freedom movement of the country.
