Boy succumbs after falling into borewell in UP

Mahoba, Dec 3(UNI) After undergoing 20 hours operation on Thursday morning, the NDRF team rescued a four-year-old boy, who fell into an open borewell in Kulpahar area of the district.
However, when the boy -- Gyanendra- was taken to a hospital, he was declared dead.

The boy fell into the 30 feet deep borewell at around 1300 hrs on Wednesday when he was playing near his agriculture field.
First the local authorities tried to rescue the boy by deploying 2 JCB machines and pumping oxygen inside the borewell through cylinders.
Later in the night, district authorities sought the help of NDRF, who also started their operation after midnight.

At 0900 hrs on Thursday, the boy was brought out from the borewell and was immediately rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him brought.
