Body of woman recovered from local river in Gumla

Gumla, Aug 19 (UNI) Body of a middle-aged woman was recovered from a local river at Bada Turiamba village under Bharno Police Station area of this district.
The deceased has been identified as Chandramani Devi (55). Police said the villagers spotted the body in the pond after which a police team was sent to the spot.
Police said that the woman's hands and legs were also tied up and she was attacked on head with a sharp-edged weapon. Police, later, sent the body for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital. Further probe was on.
