Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 25 (UNI) Kerala BJP General Secretary MT Ramesh has said the party will intensify its ongoing protests denouncing foisting of fake cases against senior party leaders including K Surendran on the Sabarimala issue.
"If party State General Secretary K Surendran is denied fundamental rights, the police will also face the same," MT Ramesh said at a function on Saturday evening.
"The party will be forced to stage agitations including laying siege to all police stations in Kerala," he asserted.
On Sunday, for the second time, Mr Surendran was denied bail by Ranni Judicial First Class Magistrate on the charges of conspiring to attack a 52-year-old woman on the previous one-day opening of the temple.
After the court identified certain false charges against Mr Surendran, the prosecution was given some more time to correct it and submit another list of cases against him.
The Government hatched a conspiracy to put K Surendran in jail continuously, he alleged.
Mr Ramesh said the party workers will violate the police restrictions including prohibitory orders clamped under section 144 of CrPC imposed at Nilakkal in the coming days.
