BJP in Goa to start membership from July 6, targets to add 4 lakh members

Panaji, Jun 26 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Goa on Wednesday announced that its membership drive will start from July 6, 2019, and party has set a target of adding at least four lakh members, a little less than one third of the state's population.
Addressing a press conference at party state headquarters in the city, BJP State General Secretary Sadanand Shet Tanavade said, "We have set a target for four lakh members across the state for our party's primary membership. Earlier, members had to pay Rs five as a fee but this time we have waived off the fee and membership will be free.'
Mr Tanavade said the party had identified weak booths in the state and stress would be more add members in those booths during the membership drive which would end on August 11, 2019.
