BJP, EC snatched power from SP in UP: Akhilesh

Lucknow, Sep 30 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of having a complicity with the Election Commission (EC) in ousting SP from power in Uttar Pradesh and said that they snatched power from the hands of the party.
During a meeting with party representatives from different states of the country, Akhilesh said that BJP and the EC together snatched power from the SP. "BJP is doing all kinds of conspiracies. It indulges into the politics of fear and temptation. BJP is the most corrupt party and is steeped in arrogance. BJP is polluting the land of UP," he said.
He said that everyone has to be ready for further battle to oust BJP from power then only then in view of the main role of UP in the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024, SP will be able to wipe out the BJP from the state.
The state presidents of various states congratulated Akhilesh for being elected as the national president during the national convention of SP on Thursday.
Akhilesh said, "When BJP will run away from UP, then only it will get wiped out from the center. For this, we have to make the party organisation strong up to the booth level and convey our policies and programs to the people."
He said that the BJP is hell bent on killing democracy. "The immorality of BJP is to such an extent that it also pollutes the fairness and transparency of elections by misusing power. There is a need for the socialists to be aware to save democracy, only then SP will wipe out BJP from power of the state and at the center, For this, the struggle of SP against BJP's wrong policies and injustice will be intensified," he said.
