Lucknow, Aug 13(UNI) BJP candidate Jai Prakash Nishad on Thursday filed his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha by-election slated to be held on August 24.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, his deputy Keshav Prasad Maurya, MLC Vijay Bahadur Pathak, along with senior state ministers and BJP leaders were present during the filing of the nominations at the Central Hall of the state legislature.
The BJP candidate filed four sets of nominations, on the last date to file the nominations. Mr Nishad is set to get elected unopposed as no other candidate have filed nomination so far .
