Battery Autos, drain cleaning machines to scavengers on subsidy: EG Collector

Kakinada, Nov 19 (UNI) East Godavari District Collector Kartikeya Mishra has said that Battery driven autos and tractor cum drain cleaning machines would be given to scavengers on subsidy at village and mandal levels to improve their livelihood.
Reviewing the developmental works with district level departmental officers at a meeting held at Collectorate here on Monday, he asked the MPDOs to identify one such scavenger from each gram panchayat and one from mandal to provide them these units through Safayee Karmachari Corporation.
He said these units would be supplied on subsidy basis to the individuals at gram panchayat and mandal level to utilize their services by the respective local bodies.
