Assam Rifles, BSF plant trees in Meghalaya and other NE States

Shillong, Jul 12 (UNI) The Assam Rifles on Sunday planted more than one lakh saplings of various varieties across the North East region on the occasion of a tree plantation drive presided over by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

“The address by Honourable HM was also witnessed by the troops of the Force. In current year, Assam Rifles has already planted more than three lakh trees,” a statement issued by the Assam Rifles Headquarters here said.
