Advancement in science failed to record growth in real term: JNU VC

Shimla, Nov 20 (UNI) Member of Nitiayog and vice-chancellor of Jawahar Lal Nehru University V K Sarswat said today that advancement in Science & Technology failed to record any growth in real terms as despite outstanding advancement it remained fail to give respite to suffering of people in the country.
In his inaugural speech on two days long workshop on theme of ''Role of science and technology for continue livelihood in Indian Himalayan Region'' former DRDO Chief emphasized that about 30 crore people are living in the rural areas rendering their lives under inept deprivations as there are still living under the poverty lines.
