Acts and Rules are for people : CPI

Puducherry, Nov 19 (UNI) Stating that acts and rules are for the people and not to torture them, the Puducherry unit of Communist Party of India on Monday wondered why Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi, the administrator of this Union Territory and Finance Secretary Candavelou had failied to initiate any action to redress the grievance of 10,000 workers who were without salary for the past several months.

In a statement here today, CPI State Secretary Saleem said that the duo should take immediate steps to disburse the pending salary to the workers to save their families failing which there will shortly be a communal rioting.
