About 84 pc of Corona positives in last 25 days in Bihar are migrants

Patna, May 28 (UNI) A total of 84 per cent of the total corona positive cases during the last 25 days are migrants brought back from various parts of the country.
Secretary of Information and Public Relation Department (IPRD) Anupam Kumar, Secretary of Health Department Lokesh Kumar Singh and Additional Director General of Police ( HQ) Jitendra Kumar told media persons through video conferencing here that a total of 70, 275 samples testings had been done so far in Biha to detect Covid-19 cases and 3,106 of them were found positive, which was 4.4 per cent of total testings in the state.
Health Secretary said that percentage of Covid 19 cases of total testings had increased as testing was now being done giving priorities to migrants coming from select regions of the country where Corona positive cases were rampant. The percentage of Corona positives of total testings was earlier 1.8 per cent before May 3 which increased to 4.4 as of date, he added.
