4 members of family burnt alive in Jhansi

Jhansi, Oct 15 (UNI) Four members of a family were burnt alive when their house caught fire under the Sipri Bazar polices station area here in the city, police said on Tuesday.

Police said here that fire broke out at the Kumud grocery store in Dayaram colony late Monday night when family members were fast asleep in bedroom, just above the store.

The deceased were identified as Jagdish Udania (45), his mother Kumud (75) , his wife Rajni (38) and their 13-year-old daughter Muskan.

Police said prima facie it seems the fire was caused by short circuit.

Investigation was on.
