3rd eco-friendly electric vehicle expo to be launched tomorrow

New Delhi, Dec 23 (UNI) Aiming to create a conducive ecosystem, explore and understand the technical, policy, market opportunities about green transportation, electric vehicles, battery rickshaws and E- carts, the government will launch 3rd Eco-Friendly Electric Vehicle Expo ‘EV-EXPO’ here tomorrow. The government has set various targets to make pollution free country that include making India a-100 per cent Electric Vehicle Nation by 2030, replacement of 7.5 crore Paddle Rickshaw into E Rickshaw by 2020 and promotion of skill development, self-employment, job creation and better livelihood. Over 200 Indian and International E-Vehicle companies will showcase their technologically advanced, pollution free, E-Rickshaws, E-Carts & E-Cars at EV-EXPO. More than 500 high level business delegations from China, Germany, Sweden, Japan and other countries have also confirmed their visit to the expo. Visiting a day ago of inauguration, BJP Leader Anurag Singh Thakur said, “The government is ready to boost E-vehicles in order to reduce the pollution in country and to create a pollution free country for future generations.” He also invited E-vehicle manufacturers from all over the world to increase their production and make India sustainable in transportation and environment. “We thank the current government and specially Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport, for bringing in place a progressive policy regime which has encouraged the E-Vehicle industry while promoting intelligent green transport solutions,” said Anuj Sharma, Chairman, E-Rickshaw Committee, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
