2 killed and one hurt in Kangra road mishaps

Dharamshala, Nov 27 (UNI) Two persons were killed on the spot and one person was injured in two different road accidents in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh at Baud under Nurpur police station and Maira falling under Jawali police station late last evening, police said here today.
SSP Kangra. Khushal Sharma told UNI that an unknown truck driver in Maira while driving the truck at high speed and carelessly hit the driver of motorcycle HP54C 7918, Surindra Kumar, resident of Bhagbal Post Office, Bharmad Tehsil Jawali, District Kangra and fled from the spot. He said that due to the hit and run accident Surindra Kumar motorcycle driver died on the spot. He said that police registered a case against erring unknown truck driver under sections 279, 337 and 304-A IPC and under 187 Motor Vehicle Act.
He said that in another road accident Shubham Kumar, resident of Vasa Wazira Tehsil Nurpur District, Kangra, driver of motorcycle No. HP38D 7087 at HPPWD Workshop near Baud, while driving a motorcycle at high speed and carelessly hit a roadside tree died on the spot. In this accident Shubham Kumar mentioned and Rishu Varad resident of Baud Tehsil Nurpur district Kangra also got injured. Both the above injured were brought to Braye Upchar Civil Hospital, Nurpur. Where Shubham Kumar the above was declared brought dead. Police registered a case under sections 279, 337 and 304-A IPC. In Nurpur police station.
