182 criminals, 5 naxals nabbed in Palamu division during June: DIG

Daltonganj, Jul 16 (UNI) During the month of June in the Palamu division which also comprises the districts of Palamu, Garhwa and Latehar a total of 182 criminals and 5 Maoists have been arrested.
Addressing the media here Palamu DIG Vipul Shukla said that among the ultras one Mustakim Miyan alias Kariwa Miyan was nabbed with an AK-47 from Garhwa district while four other ultras were arrested from Latehar. During the same period 69 criminals were nabbed in Palamu, 64 in Latehar and another 49 in Garhwa districts.
He said that during this period 358 anti-insurgency operations were conducted in the division including 295 in Palamu, 25 in Garhwa and 11 in Latehar district. Mr Shukla said that from the criminals 20 fire arms were recovered while from the ultras an AK-47, a rifle and 35 cartridges were seized.
